Dorothy is a member of the Antiques and Collectibles National Association, and we are insured through their insurance program. We have been in the Antiques and Collectibles business for over 40 years. We have an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the business and market trends, and price your items to get you the maximum value without pricing them so high that they don't sell. We pride ourselves on personal service and will never do more than one sale at a time so we can focus only on your sale. I purposely have kept my company small and have a team that I know and value for their honesty and work ethics. We all understand that disposing of a loved ones personal possessions can be difficult if not almost impossible for the family, and handle your sale with respect and honesty.
When we run an estate sale we sort, clean, set up and price items for an on site sale of 1, 2, or possibly 3 days. We take items out of drawers, cabinets and closets. Found personal items are set aside for the family. Any trash is removed before the sale, we bring in tables that are covered with table cloths to display your items in the most desirable way. If there is a large amount of items we have tabletop shelves that increase the display area. We have locked showcases if there are valuable items. We are very concerned with safety and make sure areas are well lit and open for traffic, and control the number of people in the home if needed. We advertise on Estatesales.net, Craigs list, local papers or publications, and have a private email list of over 600 buyers. We have professional signs which are located around the area to direct traffic to your sale. The only cost to you is the commission, which would be determined after inspection of the home, and will be specified in the contract. After the sale we can arrange to provide you with a clean out of the property to be real estate clean, which is emptied and broom swept and vacuumed . There usually is a separate charge for the clean out. If there are items left over we donate usable items at no cost to you and give you a tax receipt, and can offer a buy out or consignment of quality or antique items.
